Citizen Unrest in Rivers State Over Arrest of Radio Biafra Owner Is Arrested...

There are indications in Rivers State that irate youths have stormed the streets of Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital, in protest of the arrest of Nnamdi Kanu, Director of Radio Biafra by the Department of State Security Service (DSS).
According to TVC, the youths marched towards the Rivers State Government House but were prevented from gaining access by stern looking security men.


 

The protest is said to have halted commercial activities in the city center as youths, armed with placards and Biafran flags condemn what they described as injustice and an impediment of the right to freedom of speech.
The said Kanu was arrested in Lagos on Saturday, October 17, 2015, but was granted bail on Monday, October 19, 2015.
