The abductors of former Secretary to the federal government and former Minister of Finance, Chief Olu Falae have once again called his family to reduce their ransom from the initial N100m they demanded shortly after abducting him from his farm yesterday to N90m. The source who disclosed this to Premium Times says, the family have only been able to raise N2m so far.

All Progressives Congress  National Leader   , Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has barred the lawmaker representing Ondo-Central Senatorial District, Senator Tayo Alasoadura, from attending South-West caucus meetings, a Punch correspondent has learnt. It was learnt that the senator was barred for his alleged support an working against the interest of the party’s South-West leadership by taking sides with Senate President Bukola Saraki. Alasoadura was also among the senators that followed Saraki to the Code of Conduct Tribunal in solidarity on Tuesday.  This is getting messy by the day.

After majority of us, Senators of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, witnessed the appearance of our President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal this morning, we are happy that he appeared at the Tribunal after availing himself of the opportunity to defend his Fundamental Human Rights. We also want to state here, on behalf of our colleagues, that the Senate remains solidly behind Senator Saraki and we express our unalloyed support for his leadership.

Breaking: Code of Conduct Tribunal grant Saraki Bail On Self Recognition

Senate President Bukola Saraki arrived at the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja This morning ably accompanied by his deputy, Senator Ekweremadu and a host of others numbering over 50 senators. . The chairman, of the tribunal, Justice Umar later  adjourned hearing on Saraki’s case till October 21, 2015. The Senate president was granted bail on self recognition. Some Nigerians have been reacting with diverse opinions since the ruling, with one saying; "Saraki did what every Nigerian should when the state or oppressive powers rise against you: seek all legal means to ensure your freedom. He did not run away; he only appealed to the law of the land. That is the rule of law."

President of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, has arrived the courtroom of the Code of Conduct Tribunal in Abuja to face trial over a 13-count charge of corruption levelled against him by the Code of Conduct Bureau.

The Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki will appear before the Code of Conduct Tribunal tomorrow Tuesday 22nd of September 2015. While the Senate President Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, had stated and maintained that he is ready to submit himself to due process of the law on any issue concerning him, he also believes that he has an inalienable right to resort to the same judiciary for protection when he feels his fundamental rights are about to be infringed upon.  

Saraki appeals Code of Conduct Tribunal order of arrest

The Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki, has filed an appeal challenging the ruling of the Code of Conduct Tribunal which ordered the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, to arrest and produce him before the tribunal on Monday, September 21.
